Best Friends tells the story of four geometric shapes:

Circle, Square, Triangle, and Rectangle, who are friends but begin to fight over who is the best.

• Square argues that it is the best because it has four equal sides, is used for sweets, and looks beautiful.
• Triangle asserts its superiority due to its three sides, its use in drawing mountains, and being the shape of yummy snacks.
• Rectangle boasts about having four sides (two long and two short), being beautiful, and being the shape of biscuits and chocolates.

Unable to decide among themselves, they agree to ask the first person they meet. They encounter a wise Star and explain their dispute. The Star advises them that they are all friends and shouldn't fight. She tells them that together they can create beautiful pictures, patterns, and wonders, as amazing designs and things are found in all shapes. The friends realize their mistake, promise not to fight again, and remain best friends forever.
